Adani Cement sets a world record for the largest religious temple

Adani Cement and its Group partner PSP Infra announced on Thursday that they had finished casting the raft foundation for the largest religious temple in the world at Umiya Dham, which is close by.

The 504-foot-tall Jagat Janani Maa Umiya Temple, which is intended to serve as the spiritual center of a sizable social and cultural campus in Jaspur, will have 1,551 Dharma Stambhs supported by the raft foundation for the future world’s tallest temple, which would measure 450 feet by 400 feet by 8 feet.

Using 24,100 cubic meters (M3) of “ECOMaxX M45” grade low-carbon concrete—a proprietary sustainable mix created by Adani Cement and setting new standards—this incredible feat was accomplished over the course of a continuous 54-hour operation.

Umiya Dham, which spans 60 acres in size and represents an investment of almost Rs 2,000 crore, is expected to become a famous spiritual landmark. Vinod Bahety, CEO of the Adani Group’s Cement Business, stated, “This project embodies the quality, scale, speed, and purpose that define Adani Cement. It is not just about setting world records.”

These, in the opinion of our Chairman, are not merely technical achievements but rather links between modern infrastructure and dedication. This idea—that faith inspires creativity and that creativity elevates entire communities—is exemplified by the successful raft casting at Umiya Dham. “We create solutions that last for generations and set new global benchmarks when we bring together innovation, people, and sustainable materials,” he said.

The company claims that this was made possible by 26 Ready-Mix Concrete (RMX) plants that were positioned strategically, more than 285 transit mixers that worked in a coordinated logistics network, 3,600 tonnes of high-performance cement, and more than 600 technical experts and skilled workers who worked in shifts over three days.

In order to maintain ideal temperature control and mix uniformity throughout the process, the entire operation was carefully planned to guarantee continuous pouring without cold joints.

The project’s carbon footprint was greatly decreased by using “ECOMaxX” concrete, which was in line with Adani Cement’s dedication to environmentally friendly building methods.

The world-record foundation of the Jagat Janani Maa Umiya (Parvati) temple is a proud moment for India’s engineering and cultural legacy, according to R.P. Patel, president of the Vishv Umiya Foundation.

“Adani Cement was a logical partner due to their demonstrated proficiency in executing large-scale projects,” he continued.

With 66% Supplementary Cementitious Material (SCM) incorporated into the “ECOMaxX M45” concrete mix, the carbon footprint is reduced by 60%.

Thermal stress was reduced by using a proprietary Coolcrete formulation that kept placement temperatures below 28 degrees Celsius. According to the company, thermocouples included into the framework continue to track temperature and durability in real time.

Adani Cement is still a major player in India’s real estate and infrastructure markets. In addition to technical wonders like the Chenab Railway Bridge in Jammu and Kashmir and famous buildings like the World One Tower, the business has expanded its skills to include spiritual infrastructure with the Umiya Dham Temple.
