Air India and Air India Express will operate flights to and from Jeddah and Muscat on Tuesday, with the airspaces over Saudi Arabia and Oman remaining open, according to an announcement made on Monday.
Air India Express will run 14 flights to and from Muscat, while the two carriers together will run 14 flights to and from Jeddah.
Air India stated in a press release that it will run one round trip from Delhi and two round trips from Mumbai to Jeddah on Tuesday, while Air India Express will operate one round trip from each of Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mangaluru, and Kozhikode.
In addition to one round trip from each of its locations in Delhi, Kannur, Kochi, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tiruchirappalli, Air India Express will also continue to run its planned service to Muscat.
Between Indian cities and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Air India and Air India Express would operate a total of 32 ad hoc non-scheduled flights on Tuesday in addition to the planned services, depending on the availability of slots and other conditions at the respective departure point at the time.
“These flights are being operated with the necessary permissions from the relevant Indian and local regulatory authorities,” the airline stated.
Air India Express will run one round journey each to Dubai from Mumbai and Bengaluru, while Air India will run ten unscheduled flights to and from Dubai, including three round trips from Mumbai and two round trips from Delhi.
Air India Express will fly 18 non-scheduled flights to and from other emirates of the UAE, including one round trip each between Ras Al-Khaimah and Delhi, Bengaluru, and Kochi, as well as two round trips between Mumbai and Ras Al-Khaimah, and one round trip each between Abu Dhabi and Bengaluru and Mumbai, and one round trip each between Sharjah and Bengaluru and Mumbai.
Additionally, the Air India group has canceled its scheduled operations to and from other locations in West Asia up to March 13.
According to the airline, visitors who were scheduled to fly on any of the canceled flights can easily rebook for a later date at no extra cost or request a complete refund.
In the meantime, IndiGo stated on Monday that it has been continuously collaborating with the relevant authorities in India and the respective destinations to gradually restore its scheduled network in the Middle East and Europe, despite the ongoing turbulence in the region.
According to a statement from the low-cost airline, “IndiGo resumed its scheduled flights, in a staggered manner, to and from selected destinations in the Middle East from 03 March 2026 and has operated more than 165 such flights ever since, flying over 22,000 customers between India and the region. “
