The ITB Asia Conference 2026 in Singapore is bringing together travel industry leaders, technology experts, and tourism professionals to examine how human-centred design can shape the future of travel across the Asia-Pacific region.
Theme: Human-Centred Travel
This year’s conference follows the theme “Experiences in Motion: Human-Centred Design in Travel & Tourism.” The programme explores changing traveller expectations, emerging technologies, and evolving business models that continue to reshape the travel and tourism industry.
The conference features more than 150 speakers from leading companies, including Agoda, Disney Cruise Line, Trip.com, WebBeds, and FCM Travel Asia. Industry leaders will share insights into changing consumer behaviour, technology adoption, business transformation, and the future of travel experiences.
Three Key Conference Tracks
The Knowledge Theatre will examine major developments such as Chinese outbound tourism, the future of cruising, sustainability, digital reputation, and purposeful travel. Sessions will explore how destinations and travel businesses can respond to changing traveller priorities.
The MICE Show Asia Theatre will focus on event design, return on investment, artificial intelligence in events, corporate travel requirements, and destination competitiveness. Discussions will examine how the MICE sector can create greater value for businesses, destinations, and travellers.
The Travel Tech Asia Theatre will focus on artificial intelligence, automation, multimodal transportation, and digital discovery. Speakers will discuss how technology can simplify travel journeys while improving the way travellers discover and experience destinations.
Opening Keynotes
Lovrenc Kessler of Simon-Kucher will deliver the “Global Travel Outlook – What’s Next for Asia-Pacific” keynote, offering insights into the region’s evolving travel landscape.
Brett Henry of WebBeds will present “The Next Chapter of Travel – Technology, Transformation and Connected Experiences,” focusing on the role of technology and transformation in creating more connected travel experiences.
AI, Sustainability and Experience Design
Artificial intelligence and data form major themes across the conference programme. Travel businesses increasingly use AI for applications ranging from guest support to hotel marketing, moving the technology from experimentation toward practical business applications.
Sustainability also remains a key priority. Discussions will examine how travel companies and destinations can integrate responsible practices into product development, operations, and destination management.
Experience design represents another important focus. Industry discussions will explore storytelling, slower travel, and purposeful experiences as ways to create deeper connections between travellers and destinations.
The MICE sector also continues to evolve. Industry leaders are examining a shift from traditional space-based event metrics toward performance-driven engagement, measurable outcomes, and events that create meaningful impact.
Industry Partnerships
ITB Asia has developed the conference programme through collaborations with organisations including ATTA, GMC, GSTC, Tourism Economics, and WTCF. These partnerships bring together perspectives from across the travel, tourism, sustainability, economics, and business sectors.
The 2026 conference places people at the centre of travel innovation. While technology, data, and scale continue to influence the industry, the programme highlights the importance of creating meaningful, connected experiences that respond to what travellers value.
